2012 GMC Sierra, Crew Cab 1500 2WD Review

The GMC Sierra for 2012 has been awarded best in class nods for towing, and still racks up impressive fuel mileage. One other feature Sierra lays claim to is affordability.

The 2WD variant of 2012's Sierra is now available from Grand Buick GMC Kia in the Denver and Thorton, CO area. This year's edition comes powered by a 403 HP, 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 417 lb-ft of torque. Paired with the Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed automatic, this truck hits fuel economy estimates of 15/21 mpg city/hwy.

With 6 air bags and electronic stability and traction controls, the truck is as safe as a tank, but won't feel like you're driving in one. UT San Diego explains: "[Sierra's] Driveline features include a specially tuned Z60 suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, StabiliTrak (stability and traction controls), skid plates and tow hooks. Twenty-inch chrome-finish aluminum wheels are standard with a design not shared by other Sierra models."1

One of the best things about Sierra is all the standard equipment included. Whether you are picking up a base 2WD model or pimped out AWD, you'll still receive leather-trimmed heated and cooled seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, navigation, 6 Bose speakers, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth, remote starting, hack - that's just half the list!

Starting price for a ?2012 GMC Sierra Crew Cab 1500 2WD? is $40,875, including $995 freight charge.
