Terrain and Acadia Bringing New Customers to GMC

Sales are up for GMC Terrain and GMC Acadia this year, but is more impressive is that more than 50% of buyers switching from other US brands, and non-domestic brands.

"The Acadia and Terrain are industry leaders in both design and technology...Consumers are taking notice, as evidenced by each model's sales increase through the first 11 months of 2011."1 explains Brian Sweeney, U.S. VP of GMC Sales and Service. And we are talking impressive increases: 18.6% for Acadia and a leaping 47.3% for the Terrain.

Hard work from GMC to perfect both of these vehicles is paying off. Not only they have enough power to carry around all of your stuff, but they will do it while getting impressive gas-mileage and keeping your family the safest as possible.

The GMC Acadia is the largest and most powerful of the two. While the second and third rows of seats can get stowed away for 115-cubic-ft of cargo space, they can seat up to passengers when needed. Both the IIHS and the NHTSA gave it their top safety ratings, thanks in part to the curtain airbags and standard stability control, as well as additional options like the rearview camera for increased visibility.

Upgrading to the Denali trim will add:
-    DVD player
-    Mahogany trim
-    Heated and cooled front seats
-    Leather upholstery
-    USB/Bluetooth connectivity

And to top it all off, the GMC Acadia was recently honored for having the lowest cost of ownership for a crossover by ALG.

The GMC Terrain was introduced 3 years ago and it's gotten better since then. It now comes with 182-hp, four-cylinder, 2.4-liter, direct-injected engine, but is also available in a 264-hp, 3.0-liter V6 for a more powerful version. It won't hurt your gas budget, either, with an EPA-estimated 22 mpg city/32 mpg highway. The Terrain has also been recognized by as a Top Safety Pick by the IIHS and by the NHTSA as four-star rating. It comes standard with a rearview camera as well as curtain airbags and stability control, and for the first year, with the industry's first single-camera crash avoidance system.
